FAQ’S 

Q. Is Mediation legally binding?

A. No. You need to seek independent legal advice to have your Agreement turned into a legally binding document. You may seek independent legal advice before, during and after mediation.

Q. Can I be forced to go to mediation?

A. No. Mediation is completely voluntary.

Q. Is the Mediator a lawyer?

A. No, Rose is not a lawyer. Mediators may give legal information, but not advice.

Q. Is Mediation the same as Family Dispute Resolution (FDR)

A. Yes mediation is a type of FDR.

Q. Is mediation confidential?

A. Yes. The mediator is bound by strict rules of confidentiality.

Q. How long are mediation sessions?

A. Each mediation session is approximately 2 hours in duration.

Q. Once the mediation process starts can it be stopped?

A. Yes. The mediator or either party can stop the mediation at any time.
